About

Part travelogue, part philosophical treatise, but mainly the incoherent ramblings of someone with too much time on his hands, this blog is written by the Kiwi Gypsy.

Frustrated with his wife listening to him with rapt in-attention, the Kiwi Gypsy sought a wider audience and this blog was created in the hope that some one would lend him a kind ear.

Born in the Mediterranean, raised in Germany, the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand, the Kiwi Gypsy succumbed to the call of distant shores as soon as he was old enough to leave home, and remains constantly in search of new horizons, both physically, geographically and spiritually.

Successfully avoiding full time employment since 2002, the Kiwi Gypsy has nevertheless managed to thrive in a world dominated by the 9-5 work culture and the never-ending accumulation of seemingly useful possessions.

By reading this blog the Kiwi Gypsy hopes that you will be simultaneously entertained, provoked, and encouraged to live a fuller life, unbound by the restrictions of conventional living.

  1. That’s quite a resume you have there! I have to say that reading that someone else experienced an early addiction to travel is a relief!

    • Thank you for this. I apologise for the late reply as I have been tied up with other projects and traveling too. I hope to have some more posts coming to you soon. Will look into your link. Thanks for the heads up.
